GitLab is seeking a Senior Professional Services Engineer to deliver high-impact customer engagements across installation, migration, training, and advisory services. You'll work directly with enterprise customers to design and deploy GitLab across single-node to large-scale reference architectures using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and Configuration as Code practices. You'll lead migrations from competing systems to GitLab SaaS or self-managed deployments, helping customers adopt secure and reliable DevSecOps workflows.
Key responsibilities include planning and executing complex deployments across AWS, GCP, and Azure; partnering with Engagement Managers to improve delivery consistency; serving as a trusted technical advisor translating customer goals into practical implementation plans; interfacing with GitLab's product and engineering teams to unblock outcomes and drive product improvements; mentoring Associate and Intermediate Professional Services Engineers; and managing multiple concurrent customer engagements with oversight and direction.
You'll bring professional experience with Infrastructure as Code or Configuration as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, Chef, Kubernetes); hands-on experience with two or more major cloud providers; proven GitLab deployment and configuration expertise with solid Git and source control knowledge; strong grounding in security and AI technologies; demonstrated success delivering customer-facing services; proven ability to independently manage projects and lead other engineers on complex engagements; and excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) for remote, asynchronous collaboration.
