CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Production Planner to join its manufacturing operations team in Austin, TX. The company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing production plans that align manufacturing capacity, material availability, and customer demand. You will evaluate production trends, identify and resolve planning challenges, and coordinate production planning activities to support manufacturing objectives and customer commitments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing comprehensive production plans and schedules
- Coordinating with supply chain, operations, manufacturing, engineering, quality, program management, and finance teams
- Optimizing planning activities to maximize manufacturing efficiency
- Ensuring production plans align with manufacturing capacity, inventory objectives, and business priorities
- Monitoring production performance and identifying improvement opportunities
- Supporting material availability planning and inventory management
- Collaborating cross-functionally to resolve scheduling conflicts and constraints
You will work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment where hands-on, interactive, and autonomous work is valued. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage complex production schedules in a space technology manufacturing context.
