As Senior Sourcing Engineer, you will drive strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril's product hardware across their lifecycles. You'll conduct supplier selection leveraging the approved supplier list, partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should-cost modeling, and joint design development via clear statements of work.
Key responsibilities include developing and consolidating manufacturing BOMs with Quality and Manufacturing teams to ramp production internally and with suppliers; managing all NPI component procurement on-time and correctly to scale; managing CAPEX throughout NPI phases; conducting value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility; completing BOM risk assessments with alternate component sourcing; ensuring vendor component qualifications ahead of production; reducing complexity through commonality optimization and component/supplier rationalization; and leading cost engineering activities to converge bottom-up cost curves to product targets while maximizing total cost of ownership across the product lifecycle. You'll also manage ad-hoc cost issues including tariffs, import/export costs, and cost inflation.
