Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual

The Senior Product Sourcing Engineer drives strategic supply network development and cost management for Anduril's Counter Intrusion product portfolio across their lifecycles. This role requires close collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams in engineering, quality, and manufacturing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting supplier selection for specific products, leveraging the approved supplier list
- Partnering with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping, feature trade-off analysis, should-cost modeling, joint design development, and simulation of mechanical and electronics designs
- Developing and consolidating manufacturing BOMs in coordination with Quality and Manufacturing teams to support flexible production ramp-up internally and with suppliers
- Managing CAPEX throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase
- Conducting value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility
- Completing BOM risk assessments and identifying alternate component sourcing strategies
- Ensuring all component qualifications are completed ahead of production
- Reducing complexity through commonality optimization and component/supplier rationalization
- Leading cost engineering activities to align bottom-up cost curves with product cost targets, maximizing total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle
- Managing ad-hoc cost issues including tariffs, import/export costs, and cost inflation
The role requires 10-40% travel based on program needs and relocation to Costa Mesa, CA if not already local.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field
- 6+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices
- Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level
- Ability to travel 10-40% of the time, variable based on program needs
- Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA if not already local
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree or advanced technical degree in mechanical engineering
- Deeper experience in design and development of electronics and/or mechanical devices
- Advanced sourcing activities, including commodity/sourcing manager roles
- Supplier development experience (technology, process, supply chain)
- Early supplier engagement ahead of product/engineering requirement realization
- Familiarity with developing high-tech products in high-mix, low-volume environments
- Experience in fast-paced, start-up environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance
