Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomy, AI, computer vision, and sensor fusion. The Launched Effects team manufactures and scales the Altius family of air-launched autonomous aerial systems, including the Altius-600 and Altius-700, which are redefining modern warfare through precision manufacturing of advanced composites, complex avionics, and modular payload integrations for ISR, Electronic Warfare, and kinetic strike capabilities.
As Senior Product Sourcing Engineer, you will drive strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril's product hardware across their lifecycles. You will conduct supplier selection leveraging the approved supplier list and partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping, feature trade-off analysis, should-cost modeling, and joint design development via clear statements of work.
Key responsibilities include developing and consolidating manufacturing BOMs in collaboration with Quality and Manufacturing teams to ramp production internally and with suppliers while maintaining high flexibility. You will be accountable for all NPI component procurement on-time and correctly to scale, manage CAPEX throughout NPI phases, and conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility. You will complete BOM risk assessments including alternate component sourcing, ensure vendor component qualifications are completed ahead of production, reduce complexity through commonality optimization and component/supplier rationalization, and lead all cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve.
This position is permanently based in Costa Mesa, CA or Ashville, OH. The role requires temporary relocation for a comprehensive 3-month training program: 1 month in Santa Ana, CA, followed by approximately 2 months in Atlanta, GA. Anduril will fully provide and cover all corporate housing, transportation, and travel accommodations during this training period.
