Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Product Quality Engineer to join its Quality Engineering team in the Boston area (Lexington/Waltham, MA). This role is critical to ensuring the highest standards of quality across Anduril's advanced defense technology systems, which are powered by Lattice OS—an AI-powered operating system for military command and control.
In this position, you will drive quality improvements across the entire product lifecycle, from design and manufacturing through field support. Key responsibilities include:
• Ensure manufacturing processes and products meet quality standards through rigorous inspections and data-driven analysis
• Drive Quality Management System (QMS) compliance and maintain AS9100 certification in this regulated aerospace/defense environment
• Develop and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) for product quality across suppliers, manufacturing, and field operations
• Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective and preventative actions (RCCA/8D) both internally and with suppliers
• Support supplier qualification, incoming material inspection programs, and Material Review Board (MRB) activities
• Manage quality tracking tools and systems for supplier incoming, in-process, and field quality issues
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production and engineering to define product roadmaps and ensure quality requirements are captured in process control plans and end-of-line tests
• Conduct containment, audit, and disposition actions for quality escapes or defective material
You will work with complex hardware/software systems in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, and sensor fusion technologies are being deployed to transform military capabilities.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field; 5+ years in OEM supplier management and manufacturing operations; 5+ years in aerospace/defense, automotive, or medical device quality/manufacturing; hands-on experience with quality core tools (FMEA, RCCA, APQP, PPAP, GD&T); knowledge of mechanical and electrical metrology; electro-mechanical design and manufacturing process expertise; project management capability; eligibility for U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred: Master's degree; AS9100 lead auditor experience; background with Integrated Dewar Cooler Assemblies (IDCAs) or Infrared (IR) cameras; high-mix, low-volume manufacturing experience.
