Anduril Industries is a defense technology company building advanced autonomous systems and weapons for the U.S. military. You will join the Arsenal-1 hyperscale manufacturing facility near Columbus, Ohio, as a Senior Product Quality Engineer focused on missile programs.
In this role, you will define, develop, and execute quality processes that ensure high-quality missile production. You'll work across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to drive product development and production excellence. Key responsibilities include:
• Drive product development and production using drawing reviews, quality planning, inspection, acceptance testing, verification, validation, and qualification of processes, parts, and assemblies.
• Resolve production ambiguities related to product maturity, process stability, and field performance.
• Champion the transition from new product introduction (NPI) to sustainable, high-rate manufacturing with predictable processes and supply chain support.
• Own elimination of product risk to improve reliability across the product lifecycle.
• Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Material Review Board (MRB) activities; analyze inspection performance and share lessons learned.
• Establish product health metrics and drive data-driven improvement activities.
• Develop overall quality plans (APQP-style) for missile projects, leveraging direct reports to deliver quality through development cycles.
• Set expectations for qualification of internal and external manufacturing processes, including measurement methods, PPAP/FAI, inspection methods, and acceptance test plans.
• Lead transition from engineering qualification to manufacturing variance testing.
• Matrix lead supplier quality engineers supporting design and development with external suppliers.
You'll need a bachelor's degree in engineering or similar technical field, with hands-on experience in engineering, manufacturing, or quality on missile or high-velocity vehicle systems. Required knowledge includes design review and quality management of missile systems, PCBA, harnessing, avionics, systems integration, composites, propulsion, and lethality systems. Familiarity with FMEA, APQP, and PPAP is essential. You should have experience driving product quality requirements to test and measurement system development, knowledge of missile storage and maintenance, and ability to partner effectively with reliability engineering, chief engineers, architects, manufacturing engineering, and customer-facing teams.
