Solaris is Europe's leading embedded finance platform and fully licensed German bank, pioneering Banking-as-a-Service. The company enables fintechs, digital ecosystems, and multinationals to embed accounts, cards, lending, and payments directly into their products. Headquartered in Berlin with operations in Frankfurt, Solaris is transitioning into an AI-native banking platform to help European businesses deploy secure, adaptable financial products at scale.
As Senior Product Owner for the Business KYC (BKYC) domain, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution for business onboarding and periodic review platforms. This is a strategic priority driven by rapid growth, expanding fintech partnerships, and evolving EU regulatory frameworks (AMLR). You will partner closely with engineering, compliance, and commercial stakeholders to automate manual workflows, reduce processing times, and build scalable systems that unlock business growth while ensuring strict regulatory compliance. You will serve as the dedicated leader for the BKYC engineering team, setting clear priorities and driving product excellence.
Key responsibilities include: taking full ownership of the product sub-domain from conceptualization to delivery; building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across the organization; contributing to product roadmap creation and execution with clear priorities and milestones; implementing and refining agile methodologies within the development team; driving solutions that meet market needs and user expectations; and proactively identifying, managing, and mitigating risks within your product domain in alignment with compliance and policy standards.
The role welcomes strong product owners from adjacent domains such as retail KYC, CDD, AML, or broader financial crime prevention. Success requires the ability to untangle complex business structures (corporate hierarchies, cross-border entities, screening workflows) and translate them into scalable product solutions.
Solaris offers continuous learning through the Solaris Academy, internal mobility, growth opportunities, AI ambassador mentorship, and upskilling programs. The company fosters a workplace rooted in integrity, proactive risk management, and equality, with active DEI initiatives.
