Cohesity is the leader in AI-powered data security, trusted by over 13,600 enterprise customers including 85+ Fortune 100 companies and nearly 70% of the Global 500. The company combines data protection with Gen AI insights, securing data on-premises, in the cloud, and at the edge.
You will own execution for a defined area of the Filesystem & Storage portfolio, driving innovation and adoption across enterprise file systems and storage protocols (NFS, SMB, S3), scale-out and distributed storage architecture, data mobility, cloud/hybrid-cloud extensions, and agentic AI-driven data management. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role requiring deep partnership with engineering, UX, and go-to-market teams, working directly with customers globally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the roadmap and PRDs for your filesystem and storage area, driving innovation across enterprise protocols, distributed storage, data mobility, storage efficiency at petabyte scale, and cloud extensions
- Going deep with engineering daily to understand system internals and drive real design conversations
- Working through disagreements with engineering using data and trade-off framing
- Owning release trade-off calls when scope, quality, and timeline conflict
- Staying engaged from PRD through design review, build, GA, and post-launch
- Defining success metrics before shipping and tracking adoption, usage depth, retention, support tickets, and NPS/CSAT
- Being the voice of the customer, maintaining pulse on markets, competitors, and technology trends
- Partnering with Marketing on packaging, pricing, blogs, and launch events
- Tracking product performance at 30/60/90 days post-launch and feeding learnings back into roadmap
You'll work closely with a Principal PM or Head of Product for Filesystem & Storage, peer PMs across adjacent platform areas, GTM teams (Marketing, Ecosystem, Support, Enablement, Sales, Sales Engineering), a progressive UX team, and a world-class engineering team.
Requirements:
- 7–10 years of PM experience owning and shipping complex, technical B2B/infrastructure products end to end
- Deep, hands-on experience with enterprise filesystems and storage (block/file/object)
- Strong grasp of distributed systems, storage protocols, and performance/scalability trade-offs; ability to read architecture diagrams and hold your own in design reviews
- Track record of delivery with clear examples of what you shipped, why, the impact, and how you measured it
- Customer-obsessed, ownership-driven philosophy where "shipped" is the starting line, not the finish line
- Experience partnering with Marketing on launches, packaging/pricing, and blogs, with a habit of tracking products post-launch
- Plus factors (not required): MBA, cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP), or exposure to agentic AI/LLM system design
