Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Application Protection & Governance to join the core Application Security team. You will own the product outcomes that help customers deploy, operate, and improve security controls, turning complex security requirements into practical capabilities and operational guidance.
In this role, you will partner with engineering, security specialists, and go-to-market teams to define product direction and drive adoption across web, LLM, and API protection areas—including traffic pattern profiling, schema-aware enforcement, and reducing risks from third- and fourth-party integrations. You'll establish measurement and feedback loops to assess effectiveness, reduce customer operational friction, and continuously iterate based on real-world results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own the entire user journey for your product portfolio, ensuring seamless experiences across programmatic APIs and user-facing dashboards. Collaborate with design teams to build intuitive, developer-friendly interfaces.
- Deeply understand the application security landscape, analyze customer pain points, and define, prioritize, and own the product roadmap.
- Meet regularly with customers and partners to gather direct feedback, understand real-world deployment challenges, and inject customer insights into the product lifecycle.
- Partner with engineering and the broader application security organization to ship impactful features, prioritizing early shipping, data gathering, and rapid iteration.
- Own all customer-facing communications and technical documentation, ensuring complex security features are easily understood and adopted.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for your products, both internally and externally.
- Actively support the sales organization across all customer engagement stages (pre-sales strategy, post-sales expansion, and adoption). Collaborate with Customer Support to resolve technical issues and incidents.
You'll be the strategic anchor aligning customer needs, internal safety requirements, and technical feasibility to deliver reliable protection for applications at global scale.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager successfully delivering high-scale cloud solutions targeted at a technical audience within the B2B SaaS industry.
- Ability to design for massive enterprises without compromising the experience for individual developers and small businesses; excel at balancing diverse needs across Cloudflare's broad user base.
- Deep technical acumen: comfortable engaging in deep technical discussions with engineering teams, quickly grasping complex security concepts, and translating them into clear, compelling narratives for customers through blog posts, whitepapers, and direct calls.
- Embrace and actively adopt advanced AI tools to work autonomously, streamline product management workflows, and maximize efficiency to ship high-quality products faster.
- Preferred: Professional background in web security, API security, application security, or cloud security infrastructure.
