MaintainX, now part of Autodesk Operations Solutions, is a mobile-first work execution platform serving 13,000+ customers including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL, and Volvo. The platform manages 13.9 million assets and 79.5 million completed work orders. You'll join the Mobile Platform team within Platform Engineering, shaping the technical direction for how mobile features are built, shipped, and operated across an engineering organization of 150+ developers.
In this role, you will define and drive multi-year technical strategy, governance, and architecture for the mobile platform, balancing near-term developer pain with long-term scalability. You'll design and build critical foundations and tooling that power the mobile app, setting quality standards through hands-on contributions to the hardest problems. You'll lead the consolidation and evolution of platform primitives including SDKs, CI pipelines, build tooling, release trains, observability, and agentic development golden paths.
You'll champion AI-native ways of working by embedding AI workflows into your own practice, the platform, and how feature teams build and ship. You'll raise engineering excellence standards across the organization through architectural reviews, RFCs, and technical mentorship of senior engineers and tech leads. You'll partner with Platform Engineering managers across multiple teams to set priorities, shape roadmaps, and align on cross-team technical direction.
You'll define success metrics for the platform (adoption, build times, release velocity, developer satisfaction) and use them to guide investment and communicate impact. You'll present technical priorities, trade-offs, and results to executive stakeholders and collaborate daily with engineering leaders across the company.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant mobile engineering experience, with a track record of technical leadership at staff, principal, or equivalent level
- Strong AI-native mindset; demonstrated experience bringing AI-assisted workflows into a platform or organization, not just personal workflow
- Deep expertise in React Native, including architecture, performance, and native integration (iOS and Android)
- Proven success designing and driving adoption of shared modules, SDKs, and reusable components used across many teams
- Strong expertise in mobile foundations: CI/CD, build systems, release management, code signing and distribution, and mobile observability
- History of influencing technical direction across teams and organizations without relying on formal authority, including leading cross-team initiatives from proposal to adoption
- Product mindset toward internal platforms: understanding customers, measuring adoption, and making pragmatic build-vs-buy decisions
- Excellent mentorship and communication skills; ability to coach senior engineers and translate complex technical topics for executive audiences
- Expert-level English, spoken and written, for leading platform engineering managers across multiple teams and aligning with engineering leaders
