Locus Robotics is seeking a Senior PLM & Configuration Management Specialist to own the product lifecycle management and engineering change processes that enable the company's autonomous robotics platform to scale globally. This hybrid role (3 days/week onsite in Wilmington, MA) sits at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality, serving as the trusted expert and process owner for how products move from concept to customer.
Key responsibilities include: administering the Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes; coordinating Change Control Board (CCB) activities; monitoring ECO cycle times and KPIs; serving as primary PLM system administrator and subject matter expert; maintaining product data governance, Bills of Material (BOMs), part revisions, and engineering documentation; conducting audits of engineering and product data; supporting integrations between PLM, NetSuite ERP, Jira, and other enterprise systems; assessing the impact of engineering changes on manufacturing, inventory, procurement, supply chain, and service operations; and partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Product, and IT teams to drive continuous improvement.
The role requires deep expertise in PLM system administration (user access, licensing, workflows, lifecycle states), configuration management, and change control processes. You will identify and implement process improvements, troubleshoot PLM issues, ensure data integrity and traceability, and serve as a key liaison between technical and operational teams. Success depends on the ability to influence business-critical decisions, communicate complex change impacts to stakeholders, and build trusted relationships across the organization.
