You will lead operations initiatives as a highly autonomous utility player working closely with the CEO and COO. This is a 0-to-1 role built for someone seeking real ownership, thriving on accountability, and deeply data-oriented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own market and operational launches from ambiguity to execution, building playbooks, workflows, and systems needed to scale
- Translate customer pain points, contractor workflows, and county-specific edge cases into clear product requirements for the engineering team
- Take on ambiguous, high-impact problems and drive them to completion with urgency, ownership, and data-backed decision-making
- Manage the appeals filing process across counties at scale, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance while managing a team of 5+ contractors
- Research and interpret local property tax regulations, create customer-facing guides, and surface local nuances to product and engineering teams
- Shape product strategy from the front lines based on operational insights

Requirements:
- Located in Austin or willing to relocate (in-person 4 days per week)
- 3+ years of experience in consulting, banking, product, operations, or early-stage startups

- Proficiency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) and data tools (Excel/Google Sheets, SQL)
