You will join an experienced engineering organization as a Senior Mobile Engineer, partnering closely with Product, Design, Data Science, and Engineering teams to build high-quality products that make a meaningful impact on people's lives. You will work in an AI-augmented development environment that embraces modern tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable software powering products used by members worldwide.
- Design and develop frontend and backend solutions with focus on performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Create reusable frontend architecture, components, and engineering patterns to improve development velocity and consistency.
- Partner with Data Science teams to integrate algorithms and data-driven capabilities into products.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Data Engineers, and fellow engineers throughout the full product development lifecycle.
- Take ownership of projects from technical design through production deployment and ongoing optimization.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve engineering standards and platform capabilities.
- Leverage AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle while maintaining strong engineering judgment.
Technology Stack: React Native, React, TypeScript, Redux, Scala, Play Framework, Microservices, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, Spark, Elasticsearch, Kafka.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience as a Mobile Engineer building production-grade applications.
- Proven experience developing mobile applications in React Native (mandatory).
- Experience with one or more backend languages: Scala, Java, Node.js, Python, or Go.
- Experience designing and working with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience building and deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, serverless).
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design.
- BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience using AI tools within the software development lifecycle, including ability to review, validate, and improve AI-generated code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across Engineering, Product, Design, and Data Science teams.
- High level of ownership and accountability with track record of driving projects from concept through production.
