TreeX Robotics is building autonomous aerial systems for real-world agricultural environments. We are seeking a Senior ML/Perception Engineer to own the vision pipeline end-to-end, from data collection and labeling through model training, evaluation, and deployment on embedded systems.
In this role, you will:
- Own the full perception pipeline: data → training → evaluation → deployment
- Develop and improve detection and segmentation models using RGB and depth data
- Build and maintain a data engine, including defining labeling strategies, driving dataset quality and consistency, and handling noisy and imperfect data
- Ensure models generalize to real-world conditions including changing lighting, occlusions, and small or hard-to-detect objects
- Deploy models to Jetson NX-based systems, ensuring compatibility with TensorRT, and perform export, validation, and debugging
- Collaborate closely with software, robotics, and algorithm engineers to integrate perception into the broader system
This is a high-autonomy role with direct impact on product performance. You will work on real-world problems rather than curated benchmark datasets, addressing the practical challenges of agricultural robotics in the field.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong experience building and deploying computer vision models (detection and segmentation)
- Hands-on experience with training pipelines and dataset iteration
- Proven ability to improve performance with imperfect and noisy data
- Experience working with real-world vision problems (not only curated datasets)
- Practical understanding of deployment constraints (latency, memory, model size)
- Experience exporting models to ONNX, TensorRT, or similar formats
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with RGB + depth / 3D perception
- Background in robotics or embedded systems
- Familiarity with edge devices (Jetson family)
