As a Senior Merchant Operations Analyst, you will be central to enabling businesses to grow on Xendit's platform. Your primary responsibilities include reviewing and processing merchant KYC profiles in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, assessing LDD (Legal Due Diligence), BDD (Business Due Diligence), and business use cases to determine merchant eligibility. You will support payment channel activations by coordinating with external partners and internal teams, managing submissions, tracking progress, resolving issues, and unblocking delays while maintaining compliance and a smooth end-to-end merchant experience.
Key responsibilities include conducting business profile reviews for incoming merchant accounts, reviewing all submitted documentation for compliance with local regulations and Xendit standards, processing cases based on team priorities and KYC expiry dates, gathering documentation and maintaining evidence records, assessing risk in business decisions, reporting operational and policy issues, and achieving quality and productivity targets. You will work extensively with teams across multiple geographies to fulfill KYC requirements mandated by compliance and regulatory standards, manage ad hoc tasks for project management, and coordinate with local and global stakeholders.
You will drive operational excellence by improving processes, reducing inefficiencies, and ensuring SLA adherence. Collaboration with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Partnership teams is essential to streamline onboarding and activation processes. You will lead implementation of new tools, workflows, and automation initiatives (including AI and admin dashboard improvements) and foster a collaborative team culture while driving continuous improvement.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable university in Business Administration, Finance/Accounting, Communications, or Computer Science/IT
- 3–5 years of experience in a customer-facing role, merchant onboarding (KYC), risk investigation, or similar field (fresh graduates from reputable universities welcome to apply)
- Familiarity with Hong Kong regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to merchant onboarding and KYC
- Professional fluency in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written)
- Standard proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Plus: prior experience in fintech/banking operations or account opening
