Salary: USD 136,000 - 213,000 / annual
Skydio is the leading US autonomous drone company, serving defense, public safety, and enterprise customers. As Senior Materials Program Manager, you will drive material strategy and execution for drone and dock products in a highly regulated environment, directly impacting on-time customer shipments and company valuation.
Key responsibilities include: planning Bill of Materials (BOM) across the product lifecycle at in-house FATP and contract manufacturing sites; managing Clear-to-Build (CTB) reporting to ensure material readiness aligns with production and customer orders; developing inventory strategy balancing supply flexibility and cost exposure; proactively identifying and mitigating supply chain risks with cross-functional communication; driving Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and product transitions to ensure supply continuity and minimize obsolescence; collaborating with purchasing and supply chain teams on supplier strategy and shortage resolution; and working across manufacturing, program management, product development, design, production control, and logistics teams.
You will engage with system developers to build and improve internal tools, with a passion for process improvement. The role requires strong analytical skills to handle large datasets, manage multiple simultaneous deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and present material status in weekly program and executive meetings.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Operations; 5–8 years in OEM/JDM/ODM hardware businesses with prior contract manufacturer experience; strong data-driven problem-solving; ability to prioritize under pressure; excellent communication and collaboration skills. Knowledge of PLM software and ERP systems is a plus. Must be on-site in Hayward 3 days per week. FAA Part 107 certification strongly encouraged within 60 days and required for certain positions.
