Flexport is seeking a Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives for its Fulfillment division. This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial role focused on architecting the future of Flexport's global fulfillment network. You will design, standardize, and codify the processes, products, and tools that power next-generation fulfillment operations, working at the intersection of operations, product, and technology.
Key responsibilities include: designing scalable operating models that balance efficiency, cost, speed, and customer experience; owning strategic initiatives end-to-end from problem diagnosis through implementation; developing tooling, dashboards, and forecasting models using SQL, Python, and BI platforms; partnering cross-functionally with engineering, product, operations, finance, and commercial teams; establishing SOPs, reporting cadences, and KPIs across the fulfillment network; and leading high-impact white-space projects such as automation, robotics, B2B/retail compliance, and international expansion.
You will leverage data to uncover bottlenecks, quantify opportunities, and drive millions in cost savings while unlocking new service capabilities. This role emphasizes hands-on problem-solving—you may build workflows in SQL, prototype tools, or architect operating models. You'll report to senior leadership and develop multi-year strategic roadmaps.
Required qualifications: 7–10+ years in fulfillment, logistics, supply chain, or operations strategy with exposure to high-volume networks. Expert-level SQL, advanced Excel/Google Sheets, proficiency with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI), and preferably Python or R. Proven track record designing and implementing scalable processes/products with measurable business impact. Strong strategic thinking connecting execution to P&L drivers. Entrepreneurial mindset thriving in ambiguity. Executive-level communication and stakeholder influence skills. Bonus experience with robotics, warehouse automation, or building fulfillment products (B2B, Prep, Returns, Retail compliance).
