Flexport is seeking a Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives for its Fulfillment division. This role sits at the intersection of operations, product, and technology, tasked with architecting the future of Flexport's global fulfillment network.
You will design, standardize, and codify the processes, products, and tools powering the next-generation fulfillment network. Key responsibilities include defining scalable operating models that balance efficiency, cost, speed, and customer experience; owning initiatives end-to-end from problem diagnosis through implementation; developing tooling, dashboards, and forecasting models using SQL, Python, and BI platforms; partnering cross-functionally with engineering, product, operations, finance, and commercial teams; establishing SOPs, reporting cadences, and KPIs; and leading high-impact strategic initiatives around automation, robotics, compliance, and international expansion.
This is not a traditional management role. You will be hands-on, building prototypes and directly leveraging data to uncover bottlenecks, quantify opportunities, and drive millions in cost savings. You'll translate operational pain points into product requirements and ensure adoption across the network.
Required qualifications: 7–10+ years in fulfillment, logistics, supply chain, or operations strategy with exposure to high-volume networks. Expert-level SQL, advanced Excel/Google Sheets, proficiency with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI), and preferably Python or R. Proven track record designing and implementing scalable processes/products with measurable business impact. Strong strategic thinking connecting execution to P&L drivers. Entrepreneurial mindset thriving in ambiguity. Executive-level communication and stakeholder influence skills. Bonus experience with robotics, warehouse automation, or building fulfillment products (B2B, Prep, Returns, Retail compliance).
