GoFundMe is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives to lead the Platform Excellence program, reporting to the Chief of Staff to the CEO. This is a hands-on enterprise program and operating-model role focused on translating complex regulatory, payments, platform, and operating priorities into executable roadmaps with clear accountability.
Key responsibilities include: leading a 12–18 month cross-functional roadmap across Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Trust & Safety, and Payments; identifying and sequencing critical enterprise decisions; establishing governance forums, trackers, and operating cadences; maintaining audit-ready documentation including decision logs and risk registers; providing executive and board-level reporting; surfacing risks early and driving execution through influence; connecting strategy to operational delivery; and building scalable systems and workflows to replace manual tracking.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in enterprise program leadership, strategic initiatives, business operations, enterprise transformation, strategy consulting, or compliance/regulatory program management. Required experience includes operating at Senior Manager level or as a senior IC with enterprise-wide scope; leading high-stakes cross-functional programs in fintech, payments, or e-commerce; owning multi-quarter roadmaps and annual planning; supporting regulatory remediation or compliance transformation; quickly developing fluency in complex regulatory and operational contexts; credibility with senior executives; comfort with both enterprise operating models and detailed execution; ability to drive accountability through influence; and exceptional communication skills. This role requires someone who can navigate competing priorities, move without perfect information, and build trusted relationships across multiple functions.
