Mercury is a fintech platform providing banking, treasury, and financial workflow solutions for startups and technology companies. The company is seeking a Senior Manager of Product Partner Operations to lead a team of Partner Operations Specialists supporting Mercury's Banking and Expansion product organizations. This is a people leadership role focused on building and scaling operational frameworks that enable Mercury's banking and product partnerships to thrive. You will lead, coach, and develop a team of specialists while creating durable operational systems, documentation, and communication patterns that reduce friction and build trust across internal and external partners. Key responsibilities include: - Leading and developing a team of Partner Operations Specialists through coaching, feedback, and intentional career development - Building operational frameworks that improve how Mercury manages existing and future product partnerships - Raising operational quality through improved documentation, knowledge management, and communication systems - Leading organizational change initiatives as Mercury scales, helping teams adopt new processes and tooling - Partnering with Product, Engineering, Design, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Customer Support, and external banking partners to solve complex operational challenges - Establishing performance metrics that measure operational health, partner experience, and team effectiveness - Driving strategic planning, prioritization, and resource allocation - Championing scalable tooling and workflows (Linear and other systems) to maintain accurate partnership context - Advocating for the team and creating alignment across stakeholders - Shaping long-term strategy for Mercury's product partnership ecosystem You should have 7+ years of experience leading operational programs in fintech, financial institutions, or similarly complex regulated environments, plus 3+ years leading and developing high-performing teams. You'll need demonstrated success partnering with cross-functional leaders on strategic initiatives, strong change management experience, exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), and a track record of designing scalable operational systems that reduce complexity and eliminate bottlenecks.
