Okta is seeking a Senior Manager of Presales Strategy & Operations to lead a team driving operational excellence across the global presales (sales engineering) organization. This is a strategic leadership role reporting to VP-level presales leadership, responsible for building and managing a team of analysts and operations professionals while serving as the primary strategic business partner to Global Presales Leaders.
Key responsibilities include: recruiting and developing a high-performing operations team; designing and implementing presales coverage models, quota and capacity planning, go-to-market segmentation, and territory design; leading cross-functional alignment with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and other revenue functions; establishing scalable process improvements and operational frameworks; conducting strategic business reviews with VP and C-level stakeholders; and driving data-informed decision-making to improve sales productivity.
You will own presales engagement pipeline strategy, technical forecasting, and strategic reporting—translating complex data into narratives for sales leadership. The role requires deep expertise in Salesforce (dashboards, reports, custom report types, calculated fields, workflows, CRM architecture) and advanced quantitative skills with Excel or Google Sheets. You'll champion systems and automation initiatives to scale operations and drive efficiency across the global presales organization.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in analytical, strategy, or operations roles at high-growth SaaS companies, with at least 2+ years of direct people management. You should demonstrate strategic thinking, ability to influence VP and C-level executives, exceptional collaboration skills, and a track record of leading large-scale transformation projects that significantly impact sales productivity and growth. The role operates on a flexible hybrid model with preference for proximity to the San Francisco office.
