Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Test Operations to lead day-to-day execution of flight and hardware test operations across its test site network. This role manages two team leads and oversees the Scheduling & Coordination team (intake, planning, scheduling of test events) and the Site Operations team (on-the-ground range operations, airspace management, test-site support). You will be accountable for throughput, safety, and quality of test execution across all Anduril Hardware Test Operations sites.
Key responsibilities include: leading and developing both teams (hiring, career progression, performance management); managing the end-to-end operating model for test execution (intake, prioritization, scheduling, resourcing, range setup, execution, closeout); serving as the single accountable operations leader for test-site throughput while balancing competing program demands; partnering with Hardware Test Operations leadership, Safety & Standards, product managers, test engineering, EH&S, and facilities to align capacity with roadmaps; building metrics, dashboards, and operating reviews for leadership visibility; establishing standardized operating procedures across all test sites; managing external relationships with DoD/DoE test ranges, FAA, frequency coordinators, site directors, and military units; ensuring compliance with documented policies; and supporting incident response and post-event reviews.
Required qualifications: 7+ years progressive experience in test operations, flight test, range operations, or related operational leadership; 3+ years direct people-management experience including managing managers or team leads; demonstrated experience running or leading operations at a flight test range, DoD/DoE test range, or comparable environment (UAS, cUAS, manned aviation, autonomous systems); strong program and project management foundation; track record of building operating cadence and driving team performance; experience partnering with safety and standards functions in high-tempo, high-risk environments; proficiency with Airtable, Asana, Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and equivalent tools; excellent written and verbal communication; eligibility for U.S. Top Secret security clearance; BS degree or high school diploma with 10+ years relevant experience. Travel up to 50% between internal test sites and external partner ranges.
