Salary: USD 122,212 - 160,404 / annual
Oscar Health is seeking a Senior Manager of Network Contracting to lead a team responsible for negotiating, executing, and analyzing contracts with large national and complex healthcare providers and systems. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the provider network while meeting accessibility, quality, and financial goals.
You will manage a team of direct and indirect reports, overseeing contract negotiations with healthcare providers, hospitals, and health systems. Key responsibilities include leading settlement negotiations to reach mutually beneficial agreements, managing complex provider contracts with favorable terms and regulatory compliance, and conducting comprehensive reviews to identify optimization opportunities. You will drive implementation of contracting strategies in partnership with market leaders, ensuring alignment with network adequacy, development, and cost management objectives.
The role requires extensive negotiation skills and working knowledge of provider financial issues. You will monitor key metrics for network performance, cost, and provider satisfaction, providing reports to leadership. Additionally, you will ensure timely resolution of provider issues related to contract terms, reimbursement, and network participation, while building and maintaining positive relationships with healthcare providers.
This is a remote-based field position open to candidates residing in Arizona, Missouri, or Texas. Daily work involves a blend of home office work and frequent local travel for client meetings, with occasional travel for team meetings and company events.
Required qualifications: 6+ years in healthcare network contracting (health systems, hospitals, national providers, provider relations, or network management); 4+ years managing complex provider network strategies and negotiating complex contracts; 3+ years of leadership experience; 3+ years in health insurance (Individual and/or Medicare Advantage) and/or healthcare industry. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
