Salary: USD 179,000 - 211,000 / annual

Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Engineering and Security, the Senior Manager of IT will own and modernize Checkr's internal IT function end-to-end. This role leads the IT Operations team, sets the technical roadmap across identity, collaboration, and device management systems, and drives adoption of AI and automation to increase organizational productivity. Key responsibilities include: - Owning and evolving the internal IT tech stack end-to-end, including Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian ecosystem, Meraki, and Verkada - Building and leading a high-performing IT Operations team with hiring, goal-setting, and career development for direct reports - Championing AI and automation (including Anthropic Claude) to streamline IT workflows and reduce manual work - Partnering with Information Security on IAM, device management, and infrastructure decisions to meet compliance and risk standards - Collaborating with Workplace and Events teams to deliver technical support for offices, conference rooms, and company events - Defining and reporting on IT operational health through SLAs, uptime metrics, and employee satisfaction - Managing vendor relationships across the IT tool stack for cost-effective, high-quality service Required qualifications: 7+ years in a people manager role leading IT or systems engineering teams; 4+ years administering enterprise SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, Okta, or similar); demonstrated success driving AI and automation initiatives; strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals including IAM and endpoint management; track record building and scaling IT teams through organizational growth; A-player mindset with bias for action, urgency, resilience, and ownership. Checkr expects in-office work 3+ days per week from hub locations in Denver, San Francisco, Nashville, or Santiago.
