Ascendis Pharma, a global biopharmaceutical company, seeks a Senior Manager for International Market Access to drive pricing and market access strategies across diverse international markets. Based remotely from a European office (Copenhagen, UK, Spain, Italy, or Germany), this role reports to the Head of International Market Access and plays a pivotal part in ensuring successful launches and accessibility of the endocrinology portfolio across Canada, Latin America, Central/Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Israel, Middle East, South Africa, Australia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and South Korea.
Key responsibilities include conducting competitor pricing analyses and benchmarking; supporting the Global team in pricing submissions and compliance; preparing pricing and reimbursement dossiers and evidence packages for payer submissions; gathering local market data to strengthen value arguments; monitoring access barriers and identifying solutions; providing analytical input into launch access strategies; and collaborating with Global Pricing, Market Access, and HEOR teams to align local strategies with global frameworks. You will work closely with internal stakeholders (Head of International Medical Affairs, Marketing, Business Operations) and external distribution partners to support data-driven, sustainable portfolio growth.
The role requires hands-on expertise in market access and pricing across international markets, with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate complex data into clear strategic recommendations. Travel to Copenhagen headquarters, partner markets, conferences, and stakeholder meetings is expected at approximately 10–15% annually, with occasional flexibility for global time zones.
Required qualifications: Master's degree in life sciences, economics, public health, or related field (MBA or PhD preferred); minimum 5 years' experience in Market Access, Pricing, and/or HEOR within pharma or biotech; solid knowledge of market access policies and mechanisms; experience preparing P&R dossiers and supporting new product launches; strong Excel and pricing tool proficiency; familiarity with payer decision-making and HTA requirements; and essential experience in international, regional, and/or national market access, ideally across EU5, Canada, LATAM, and/or Asia Pacific.
