Ollie is a direct-to-consumer pet food company that produces human-grade, customized meals for dogs and delivers them directly to customers. The company combines fresh food products with health services to help dogs live healthier lives.
As Senior Manager of Contract Manufacturing, you will be the operational bridge between Ollie and its manufacturing partners, ensuring fresh, human-grade recipes are produced safely, efficiently, and at scale. You will report directly to the Vice President of Supply Chain and travel 25–30% for plant visits, audits, and partner onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage strategic relationships and daily operations at co-manufacturing sites, including contract negotiations, KPI tracking, performance reviews, and process improvements
- Bridge internal priorities across procurement, inventory, quality, and engineering teams with manufacturing partner operations
- Ensure inventory availability and production capacity align with subscription growth and operational goals
- Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain food safety, human-grade standards, and regulatory compliance across all sites
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and onboard new contract manufacturing facilities
- Collaborate with engineering leadership on line scaling, technical throughput improvements, and yield optimization
- Oversee unit economics, standard costs, price variances, and vendor contracts to maximize efficiencies and cost savings
- Manage scope, timeline, deliverables, and budgets for commercialization projects
- Establish, track, and report on core manufacturing KPIs to drive accountability and continuous improvement
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in contract manufacturing, co-pack management, or plant operations within food or pet food industry
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Food Science, or related field
- Proven track record identifying, negotiating with, and onboarding new manufacturing partners
- Experience managing manufacturing capacity, production planning, and partner performance against operational KPIs
- Strong communication skills to align cross-functional teams with external plant management
- Strong technical understanding of food safety, HACCP, and human-grade food manufacturing processes
- Analytical problem-solving skills with proficiency in ERP systems, supply planning, and yield metrics
- Willingness to travel 25–30% for plant visits, audits, and partner onboarding
- Pet food manufacturing experience and/or fast-paced, high-growth DTC brand experience strongly preferred
