Octane is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Credit Bureau Reporting (CBR) and Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Risk Governance program. This role owns end-to-end credit reporting and dispute management, serving as the resident Subject Matter Expert on CDIA/Metro 2®, FCRA, and Regulation V. The manager directs monthly Metro 2® file creation, data scrubbing, auditing, and submission across all four major Credit Reporting Agencies (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion, Innovis), and leads root cause analysis to identify and correct furnishing errors before they reach the bureaus.
Key responsibilities include: establishing and maintaining all credit reporting policies, procedures, and workflows; overseeing the Credit Bureau Dispute Management program alongside the broader Complaints function; managing exceptions from Bankruptcy, Deceased Scans, Repossession, and Debt Sales processes through manual and automated workflows; leading and developing a team of Dispute Analysts to meet KPIs and maintain SLAs; conducting QA audits; and serving as the primary credit reporting point of contact across Legal, Risk, Operations, and Engineering teams.
The role requires deep expertise in consumer lending compliance, including FCRA, ECOA, TCPA, TILA, UDAAP, and FDCPA. The manager will drive continuous improvement initiatives, implement system enhancements and automation, manage high-volume work queues, and champion organizational culture and cross-departmental collaboration. Experience with enterprise-level eOscar dispute platform management and LoanPro software is required. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in consumer lending with 5+ years in a supervisory/leadership role managing FCRA file transmission and credit bureau dispute processes.
