Tines is seeking a Senior IT Operations Technician to join its global IT team as a senior individual contributor. This remote role is based in the Pacific Time Zone to provide broader coverage across US time zones and improve overlap with Australian colleagues.
You will provide expert IT Operations support to employees across a globally distributed organization, tackling complex operational issues independently while mentoring the wider IT Operations team. Key responsibilities include managing enterprise platforms, supporting the federal environment (including Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud High administration), and serving as a technical escalation point for complex issues.
Day-to-day work balances operational support with project ownership, process improvement, and automation initiatives. You'll investigate complex issues considering employee experience, security, reliability, and business impact. You'll mentor and coach other IT Operations team members, helping them troubleshoot, examine root causes, and make operational decisions. You'll also lead root-cause analysis for recurring or high-impact issues, turning findings into scalable technical or process improvements, and surface operational risks and improvement opportunities to the IT executive team.
You bring 8-12 years of IT Operations experience demonstrating senior-level technical breadth, judgment, and ownership. Advanced administration experience with enterprise platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, Jira, identity providers, or mobile device management is required. Enterprise Microsoft 365 administration experience is essential, with GCC High or regulated government cloud environment experience preferred. You have experience leading root-cause analysis, implementing scalable improvements, acting as a technical escalation point, and mentoring IT professionals. Strong judgment balancing employee experience, security, reliability, speed, and business impact is critical. An automation mindset is essential—identifying the right opportunities while considering security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
You'll report to the IT Manager based in the Eastern Time Zone. Tines is a workflow automation platform founded in 2018 with co-headquarters in Dublin and Boston, serving customers from startups to public companies including Canva, Databricks, Elastic, and McKesson.
