SingleStore is seeking a Senior IT Operations Engineer to join their IT team in San Francisco. This is a hands-on, active role responsible for planning, design, development, and Tier 3 support across multiple technical areas including end-user support, client engineering, endpoint security, and infrastructure application support.
Key responsibilities include administering SaaS applications (OKTA with Workflows, Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian tools including JIRA and Confluence, and MDM solutions). You will identify automation opportunities and eliminate manual work through tooling and integrations. The role involves responding to support tickets, executing new hire onboarding and user separation processes, and mentoring junior team members on troubleshooting and complex issue resolution.
You will design, architect, implement, and maintain systems for staff computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, networking, videoconferencing, and printers. Collaboration with business units to evaluate hardware and software solutions is essential, as is effective communication across the entire company. You will analyze existing processes, suggest improvements, and implement new business processes as needed.
Required experience includes implementing and administering Google Workspace, OKTA with Workflows, Slack, and JIRA; using GAM or similar tools for bulk Google Workspace management via command line; administering Mac MDM tools like Kandji; and designing systems to support distributed macOS, Linux, and Windows environments. Strong communication and organization skills are essential, along with a desire to learn new technologies and mentor junior engineers.
Nice-to-have skills include GAM experience, Juniper network management, AV hardware design for conference rooms, workflow automation tools, Python scripting, AWS components knowledge (Lambda, CodeBuild, DynamoDB, VPC, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, IAM, SES), and relevant IT certifications or a B.S. in Information Technology.
