Salary: USD 165,000 - 184,000 / annual
Muon Space, a LEO satellite constellation provider founded in 2021, seeks a Senior IT Engineer to own identity and access management (IAM) across the organization. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on architecting and maintaining secure, scalable authentication and authorization systems.
You will own authentication across SaaS applications, cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), on-premises infrastructure, and user endpoints. Core responsibilities include architecting and evolving the Okta environment, designing least-privilege authorization models, building access request workflows and access review systems, and enforcing access restrictions for CUI, EAR, and ITAR-controlled data.
You will administer identity across Okta, Active Directory, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365, and manage identity and access across all major cloud platforms. You'll partner with IT, Security, and business teams to align IAM with compliance and operational requirements.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of IT experience with hands-on Okta and identity management expertise. Required skills include Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration, Google Workspace administration, and cloud IAM across AWS, GCP, and Azure. Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and access governance is essential. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience with U.S. Government programs, CUI data handling, EAR/ITAR-controlled data, and active or eligible U.S. security clearance.
This is a full-time, onsite position in San Jose, CA, requiring five days per week in the office.
