Alan is a prevention-focused health insurance company serving 1M+ members across 40K+ companies, with €800M+ ARR and 1000+ employees across 5+ countries. The company integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a unified platform and is scaling internationally. You will join Alan's IT Engineering team to build and own the internal technology platform that powers the organization. The role spans multiple domains: identity and provisioning, endpoint and SaaS security, healthcare professional tooling, and automation that enables the company to scale without linear headcount growth. Key responsibilities include: **Platform & Automation:** Own and extend automations on Alan Home (internal provisioning engine), maintain helpdesk automation and SaaS provisioning flows, manage onboarding/offboarding pipelines, and own the meeting room AV and room-booking platform as a replicable product across offices. **Identity & Access:** Manage the IT side of employee lifecycle across Google Workspace, SSO/SAML, and the SaaS ecosystem. Grow role-based access models, ensure employee lifecycle events are reliable and auditable, own access reviews and least-privilege models, and manage SaaS procurement and license optimization. **Endpoint & SaaS Security:** Own the Mac fleet in Kandji at scale with role-based blueprints, manage Cloudflare WARP and SaaS security controls, and maintain ISO 27001 certification while driving ACPR and pentest remediation. **Healthcare Professional IT:** Support the IT layer behind Alan's clinics, including practitioner tooling, equipment, and access management with role automation and escalation processes. **Internationalization:** Make IT a driver of expansion rather than a bottleneck by creating repeatable processes for new markets (Canada, KSA, Armenia, etc.) and integrating acquired entities onto the standard platform. You'll spend 2-3 days per month on IT support to stay close to user friction and identify automation opportunities. The scope represents team ownership; you'll staff on one or two areas at a time based on strengths and interests, evolving with company needs. First 3 months: acquire technical knowledge on Alan Home, Google Workspace/SSO, Kandji, and Cloudflare WARP; ship a first project increment; join the IT oncall team as technical escalation. First 6 months: own a workstream end-to-end, deliver an automation or hardening initiative, reduce bus factor through documentation, and mentor teammates. First year: deliver measurable IT toil reduction, set technical standards on your domain, build cross-functional partnerships, and contribute to hiring. Three years: lead major projects across communities, become a reference across at least two domains, mentor the team, and scale IT without linear growth. As the community grows, opportunities exist to lead crews, own cross-community projects, and mentor. **Requirements:** Must-have technical skills: - 5+ years in IT engineering, platform, systems, or corporate engineering with real ownership of production-facing systems - Depth in at least one area (platform & automation, identity, endpoint & security) with demonstrated range beyond it - Code writing ability: Python, APIs, and pull requests in shared repos should feel normal - Structured problem-solving: methodical diagnosis, clarifying questions, failure mode and rollback thinking - Comfort with regulated environments: health data, ACPR, ISO 27001, HDS - Automation & AI appetite: smart use of AI tools to accelerate delivery with instinct for what should be automated Must-have behavioral/soft skills: - Ownership & autonomy: drives topics forward without hand-holding, including cross-perimeter work - Written communication: Alan is written-first; decisions argued in public documents and challenged by outside teams - Pragmatic judgment: balances perfect vs. good enough, decides with incomplete information - Documentation culture: reduces bus factor through clear documentation and knowledge sharing Nice-to-have: - Experience with internal provisioning or IdP-driven automation platforms - Kandji or other MDM at scale - Cloudflare Zero Trust / WARP, Datadog - Audit remediation experience (ISO 27001, HDS) - Multi-country rollouts or IT integration post-acquisition - Mentoring, coaching, or leading a small crew - Health or healthtech ecosystem familiarity Languages: Fluent English & Professional French
