Docker is seeking a Senior Implementation Engineer to lead customer onboarding initiatives for Docker Hub, the world's largest container registry serving millions of developers, open-source projects, and ISVs. This role is central to Docker's customer success strategy, focusing on guiding new customers through their initial journey with Docker products while ensuring smooth transitions across internal teams.
You will partner with Customer Success, Sales, Operations, and Support teams to establish and refine onboarding operations. Key responsibilities include designing and executing day-to-day onboarding strategies that balance personalization with scalability, iterating on workflows and automations to reduce friction, and building strong customer relationships throughout the migration journey. You'll contribute to the team knowledge base, maintain target metrics around provisioning efficiency and customer satisfaction, and ensure seamless handoffs between teams.
The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of professional experience in customer-facing roles—specifically in customer onboarding, implementation engineering, or similar functions. You should have deep familiarity with SaaS platforms and cloud-based technologies, strong cross-functional collaboration skills, and a proven ability to adapt to cutting-edge tech. You're a natural leader who thrives in startup environments, comfortable getting into the weeds with the team. You value transparent communication, aren't afraid of difficult conversations, and maintain an unwavering customer-centric mindset.
In your first 30 days, you'll complete onboarding, meet key teams, and begin learning Docker's technology stack. By 90 days, you'll be actively engaging customers and plotting individualized onboarding paths. Within a year, you'll have established strong cross-functional relationships and have autonomy over day-to-day customer onboarding execution.
