Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Senior Global Sourcing Manager specializing in energetics and munitions commodities. This is a strategic, high-impact role responsible for securing critical components, materials, and services that power Anduril's defense systems, which are powered by Lattice OS—an AI-powered operating system for military command and control.
You will develop and execute comprehensive commodity strategies for energetics, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience. Your responsibilities include end-to-end ownership of delivering quality parts at the right cost and timeline, acting as the domain expert for energetics manufacturing across the organization.
Key responsibilities include leading RFI/RFQ/RFP processes and strategic sourcing initiatives; owning business relationships with external contract manufacturers while managing supply continuity, risk, and cost negotiations; partnering with engineering teams to influence technical design specifications; performing detailed TCO (total cost of ownership) analysis on quote submissions; and negotiating key supplier agreements for pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, and service terms.
You will work cross-functionally to support prototype requirements, execute build milestones, and influence contract manufacturers' processes and technology decisions. Additional duties include managing supplier performance metrics (delivery, quality, cost, innovation), conducting technology reviews for executive staff, and serving as the primary escalation point for energetics commodities.
Required: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field; 5+ years in supply chain commodity management of energetics/missiles manufacturing or sourcing engineering; ability to travel up to 50%; willingness to relocate to Costa Mesa if not local.
Preferred: Bachelor's in electrical or mechanical engineering; prior defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech industry experience; expertise in TCO analysis; strategic commodity roadmap development; proven cross-functional leadership and influence; ability to obtain and maintain U.S. TS security clearance.
