Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Senior Global Sourcing Manager specializing in electromechanical commodities (actuators and motors). This is a strategic, high-impact role responsible for securing critical components and materials that power Anduril's advanced defense systems, including those powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system.
You will serve as the domain expert for electromechanical sourcing, developing and executing comprehensive commodity strategies focused on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience. Key responsibilities include:
• Develop and execute commodity strategies for electromechanical actuators and motors, ensuring cost optimization, quality, and supply chain resilience
• Own end-to-end responsibility for delivering quality parts at the right cost and timeline
• Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP processes and strategic sourcing initiatives for electromechanical commodities
• Manage business relationships with external contract manufacturers, ensuring supply continuity, risk management, cost negotiations, and NPI-to-MP execution
• Partner with engineering teams to influence technical design specifications and customize manufacturing requirements
• Conduct detailed TCO (total cost of ownership) analysis on quote submissions, performing deep-dive cost breakdowns
• Support prototype requirements and build milestones through cross-functional collaboration
• Influence contract manufacturers' processes, CapEx decisions, and technology adoption
• Negotiate strategic agreements establishing best-in-class pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, and service terms
• Provide technical direction on product strategy throughout the lifecycle
• Develop and execute commercial agreements reflecting project expectations (fixed/variable costs, lead-times, schedules, capacities)
• Conduct regular technology reviews to executive staff
• Own supplier performance management, tracking delivery, quality, cost, and innovation metrics
• Act as primary escalation point for assigned commodities
Required: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field; 8+ years in supply chain commodity management of electromechanical manufacturing (actuators/motors) or sourcing engineering; ability to travel up to 50%; willingness to relocate to Costa Mesa if not local.
Preferred: Master's in electrical or mechanical engineering; experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech industries; expertise in TCO analysis; strategic thinking on commodity roadmaps; proven cross-functional leadership and influence; ability to obtain and maintain U.S. TS clearance.
