As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the cutting-edge advertising technology platform. You will work with a talented engineering team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust and scalable solutions. This role is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the Taipei office.
The engineering team tackles a variety of challenges including big data problems, user experience optimization, service scalability, reliability, and AI-powered optimization. You will have the freedom to work on features that interest you across the full stack.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain features for the advertising technology platform, covering both frontend and backend components
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Build efficient, scalable, and secure code following best practices and coding standards
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs to ensure optimal system performance and stability
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, provide feedback, and encourage knowledge sharing
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high reliability and user satisfaction
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions and improvements
- Work in an agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and team activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management and quality assurance
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in web development, including AI/ML applications
Tech stack includes Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, React, and Elasticsearch. You may prefer backend or frontend specialization.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Solid experience as a Fullstack Engineer, preferably in a fast-paced startup or technology-focused environment
- Proficiency in modern frontend technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks/libraries like React.js, Angular, or Antd
- Strong understanding of backend technologies and frameworks; Ruby on Rails is an asset
- Experience with server-side development and RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of database systems such as PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (Heroku, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Experience working with or integrating AI/ML technologies is a strong plus (recommendation systems, predictive analytics, data enrichment)
- Ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code with focus on performance, scalability, and security
- Experience with version control systems like Git and proficiency with collaboration tools (GitHub, GitLab)
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and passion for delivering high-quality software
- Prior experience in digital advertising industry or related domains is a plus
