Redis is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to shape how engineers and AI agents interact with Redis. You'll work on the surfaces developers use daily: the Redis Cloud console, Redis Insight, and agentic interfaces including MCP servers, CLIs, and agent skills.
In this high-ownership role, you will lead initiatives end-to-end from discovery and prototyping through design, implementation, testing, release, and production monitoring. You'll build and evolve the Redis console and its shared platform, including the shell, component library, theming, and module contracts. You'll also create agentic interfaces to Redis so that anything a user can do in the UI, an agent can do programmatically.
You'll instrument your work and use adoption data to inform what to build next. You'll make agent-driven development reliable through quality gates, CI, eval harnesses, and review practices. Cross-team collaboration with backend, platform, and product teams is essential to shipping cohesive experiences.
Redis is AI-native: agents write essentially all code and act as first responders on GitHub issues, alerts, and failing tests. Every product idea starts as a working prototype. This is an opportunity for a product-minded engineer who wants to build products they would personally use and have real impact on developer experience.
Benefits include competitive compensation with equity grants, 25 days vacation, hybrid working options, home internet and phone allowance, one-time home-office setup allowance, health and dental insurance, personal life insurance, critical illness cover, office lunch and snacks, and a multisport/fitness card.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience building and shipping production software
- Ownership of the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, releases, and production monitoring
- Track record of leading initiatives to completion and aligning teams around clear solutions
- Product mindset: measure success by adoption and user value, not PR count
- Daily hands-on use of AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar) with clear understanding of their limitations and how to guard against failures
- Comfort working outside your primary stack; most work is TypeScript, but you've shipped or can ship Rust CLIs, Python MCP servers, Go prototypes, and pick the stack the problem needs
- Ability to pick up new technologies and domains quickly
- Ability to thrive at pace across multiple parallel initiatives: maintain context, document decisions, raise disagreements before decisions are made, and commit once decided
- Clear English communication skills and ability to work across distributed teams
