As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be part of the team responsible for implementing and evolving Legion's high-performance, data-driven application. The Legion platform implements sophisticated scheduling and optimization algorithms and provides endpoints for web and mobile frontend applications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Writing secure, efficient, enterprise-quality code with deep understanding of scalability and performance techniques
- Planning and conducting architecture sessions, designing and building enhancements and extensions
- Creating plans for integration and unit testing
- Helping multiple customers and traveling to customer locations as required
- Setting and managing expectations with stakeholders
- Understanding and adapting to customer organizations and cultures
- Continuously acquiring knowledge about customers and solutions to grow adoption
- Managing difficult situations calmly and structured with internal and external customers
- Communicating effectively across all organizational levels
- Participating in on-call rotation
The role is hybrid based in Bucharest, Romania. Legion's mission is to turn hourly jobs into good jobs, serving the 75 million hourly workers in the United States. The platform is built for the cloud with AI at the core and handles the complexity of modern businesses while meeting the needs of today's hourly employees.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-7 years of experience working with AngularJS and React technologies
- AngularJS and React experience is essential; experience upgrading from AngularJS to React is preferred
- Experience with CSS3, HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and jQuery including cross-browser compatibility issues
- Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, MySQL, and JSON (helpful)
- Experience with containerization and cloud deployments on AWS (desirable)
- Experience building software products and handling complexities of multiple configurations in cloud-based products (preferred over consulting and webpage/portal development)
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar field
- Ability to operate in an environment with limited resources (preferred)
- Track record of building positive relationships with peers (preferred)
