Foodics is a leading restaurant management ecosystem and payment tech provider founded in 2014, headquartered in Riyadh with offices across 5 countries (UAE, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait). The company serves customers in over 35 countries and has processed over 6 billion orders. Foodics recently raised $170 million in the largest SaaS funding round in MENA.
In this role, you will build customer-facing ordering apps that thousands of restaurants across the region deploy to their guests. You'll work with a white-label Flutter codebase that powers multiple brands and runs across a wide range of devices—from flagship iPhones to low-end Android devices on unreliable networks.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and ship features in a large production Flutter codebase used daily by real customers
- Own architecture decisions in your area: state management, modularization, data layer, and code integration patterns
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers on API contracts and with product and design teams on feature prioritization
- Maintain high quality through code review, automated testing, and CI/CD optimization
- Monitor post-release metrics: crash rates, performance, funnel drop-off, and iterate based on data
- Handle complex consumer app challenges: payments, deep links, push notifications, offline behavior, and app store releases
- Mentor mid-level engineers and elevate team engineering practices
Requirements:
- 5+ years building and shipping mobile applications, with 3+ years focused on Flutter/Dart in production
- Strong understanding of Flutter internals: widget lifecycle, rendering, rebuild behavior, and jank diagnosis
- Experience with structured architecture patterns (Clean Architecture, layered, or similar) and considered state management approaches (BLoC, Riverpod, Provider)
- Comfortable with dependency injection, repository patterns, and testable code design
- Solid testing practices: unit, widget, and integration tests
- Experience with native platform integration: platform channels, native SDKs, iOS and Android build configuration
- Shipped to App Store and Play Store; familiar with common release issues
- Good English communication; comfortable with written documentation
Nice to have:
- Multi-tenant or white-label app delivery experience (flavors, dynamic theming, per-brand configuration)
- Performance optimization on low-end Android and offline-first design
- Observability tooling experience (Datadog, Sentry, Firebase, Mixpanel)
- Prior experience in food tech, e-commerce, or high-volume consumer products
