PDI Technologies is seeking a Senior Financial Data Analyst to transform financial and operational data into actionable insights that drive business decision-making and operational efficiency. The company powers convenience retail and petroleum brands globally through technology solutions including GasBuddy and loyalty programs.
In this role, you will develop and maintain dashboards, reports, data models, and automated analytics solutions that improve visibility into business performance and strengthen Finance processes. You'll work cross-functionally with Finance and business stakeholders to translate complex business questions into data-driven analyses, identify trends and opportunities, and leverage automation and AI-enabled tools to enhance reporting, forecasting, and financial insights.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing complex financial and operational data to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities
- Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions for financial and operational performance visibility
- Partnering with Finance and business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into scalable data solutions
- Building and maintaining data models, reporting logic, business rules, and data definitions
- Automating recurring reporting and analytical processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Performing data validation, reconciliation, and quality analysis for accurate financial reporting
- Developing ad hoc analyses, forecasts, and scenario-based insights for financial planning and performance reviews
- Translating complex data into clear, compelling insights and recommendations for leadership
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve Finance data, reporting processes, tools, and workflows
- Leveraging AI-enabled tools and automation to accelerate analysis and enhance financial insights
- Evaluating emerging AI, analytics, and automation capabilities for practical Finance applications
- Maintaining documentation for reports, metrics, data definitions, business rules, and analytical processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics, financial analytics, business intelligence, FP&A analytics, or related discipline
- Strong experience analyzing complex financial and operational data and translating findings into actionable business insights
- Experience developing dashboards, reporting solutions, and automated analytics using business intelligence and data visualization tools
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with SQL and data visualization or business intelligence tools
- Experience working with financial and operational data with understanding of key financial metrics and business performance drivers
- Experience with data modeling, data definitions, business rules, data validation, and reporting governance
- Demonstrated ability to improve reporting and analytical processes through automation and process improvement
- Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics, automation, or emerging technologies used to improve reporting, forecasting, and decision support
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to independently work through complex data and business questions
- Strong communication and data storytelling skills with ability to present complex information clearly to business stakeholders
- Ability to independently manage complex work and multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
