Salary: USD 104,500 - 167,600 / annual
ServiceTitan is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A (R&D) to serve as the dedicated financial planning and analysis partner to the R&D leadership team. This is a highly visible role combining deep financial analysis with strategic business partnership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the monthly close process: develop deep understanding of monthly R&D performance, prepare variance commentary, manage accruals, and communicate risks and opportunities to finance and R&D leadership
- Manage headcount and expense planning: support monthly forecasts and annual operating plans, translating business needs into accurate financial projections
- Turn data into decisions: build command of the P&L, diagnose performance drivers, develop strategic narratives, and deliver ad hoc analyses that inform high-impact business decisions
- Serve as trusted business partner: provide clear, data-driven recommendations on budgeting, strategic trade-offs, and growth decisions
- Drive process improvements: identify automation and efficiency opportunities using AI and other tools to enhance team productivity
The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, collaborative cross-functional work, comfort operating autonomously in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, and a growth mindset with genuine curiosity about the business and industry.
Requirements:
- 4-year degree in a relevant field with strong academic performance
- 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or related analytical role, preferably at a high-growth technology company
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and strategic business planning, including creation and execution of robust financial plans
- Strong FP&A fundamentals: variance analysis, variance storytelling, budgeting, forecasting, headcount management, and reporting
- Ability to solve problems and operate with autonomy in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences
- AI-forward mindset: actively use AI tools to work faster and deeper
