Wiz is a rapidly growing cloud and AI security platform trusted by over 65% of the Fortune 100. The company recently became part of Google, combining Wiz's technology with Google's Threat Intelligence and Security Operations.
You will join the CTO team as a Senior Escalation Engineer, taking ownership of the most complex customer technical problems and serving as a critical bridge between customers and core engineering/product teams. This is a hands-on technical role focused on deep troubleshooting, analysis, and driving resolution of challenging issues while proactively identifying patterns that influence product development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking ownership of complex customer technical problems, performing deep-dive troubleshooting and analysis to drive resolution
- Proactively identifying potential escalations and advocating for customers to ensure their technical challenges influence product and engineering roadmaps
- Authoring and publishing technical troubleshooting content such as knowledge base articles and guides for internal and external use
- Leading development of internal tools and processes for your product area and championing adoption within technical teams
- Participating in on-call rotation for critical escalations and internal tooling support
You will leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency and contribute to the development of internal tooling with a strong focus on AI-powered capabilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience and certifications
- 7+ years of hands-on technical experience in a senior customer-facing role such as Escalation Engineer, Senior Technical Support, or related field
- Minimum 3+ years of in-depth experience with a major cloud platform
- Proven experience reading, debugging, and writing code in at least one high-level programming language (Python, Go, Java, Shell, JavaScript)
- Proficiency with Git and source code management systems
- Proficiency with REST APIs or GraphQL
- Proficiency with command-line tools and Linux operating system environments
- Fast learner with natural curiosity, passion for technology, and ability to work independently
- Deep understanding of web technologies (HTTP, HTML, DNS)
- Experience leveraging AI tools to increase task efficiency
PREFERRED:
- Experience with DevOps technologies and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Kubernetes and Container technologies
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies such as Terraform
- Proficiency with SQL for data analysis and ability to independently create dashboards and datasets
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Previous experience in a CTO organization or similar strategic technical team
