Salary: USD 260,000 - 310,000 / annual

Parachute Health is a digital ordering platform for medical equipment and supplies, connecting health systems, health plans, and suppliers to help patients access life-saving products at home. The company has connected 300,000+ clinicians and 3,000+ supplier locations across all 50 states and served 15M+ patients. You will lead two engineering teams in the Clinical Division, owning the engineering health, delivery, and technical direction of the clinician order pipeline and patient continuity experience. This is a multi-team role managing engineers spanning mid-level through staff. Key responsibilities include: - Set and maintain a high performance bar through direct feedback, substantive reviews, promotion cases, and fair handling of underperformance - Manage career growth and technical development across multiple teams, developing tech leads and senior engineers who can carry scope independently - Own both teams' goals and roadmap execution, removing blockers and maintaining a high operating pace through planning, IPM, PR review turnaround, and WIP discipline - Lead adoption of AI tooling in daily engineering work—agentic coding, repo-native tooling, MCP servers, and test acceleration—with hands-on opinions on what works and where it breaks down - Partner closely with two PMs and two designers as the engineering counterpart, shaping scope early and pushing back where technical cost doesn't match user value - Review Architecture Decision Documents, run pre-launch risk assessments, and ensure the two areas evolve coherently - Lead early technical discovery, feasibility analysis, and capacity estimation across both roadmaps - Stay close to the code through regular PR reviews, design discussions, and incident retrospectives - Guide engineering practice using agile methods, TDD, and robust software design principles - Serve as primary point of contact for both teams with Product, Design, clinical stakeholders, and leadership Requirements: - Minimum 5 years of management experience, including managing more than one team or managing through tech leads - Minimum 10 years of experience delivering software in a production environment - Demonstrated track record as a performance manager with evidence of growing engineers to the next level and handling underperformance directly - Professional experience with open source programming languages - Hands-on familiarity with modern AI development tooling and experience generating team adoption - Must reside in the U.S. and be legally authorized to work without visa sponsorship Nice to have: - Experience in healthcare, clinical workflows, or another regulated domain - Experience leading teams through a manager transition or period of structural change - Experience operating in a large shared codebase with clear domain ownership boundaries
