Salary: USD 175,000 - 195,000 / annual

Ibotta is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead cross-functional engineering squads building consumer-facing products and platform services. You will manage a talented group of engineers, mentor them in their technical careers, and act as a technical coach. You'll partner closely with Product Management to prioritize work, build technical roadmaps, and ensure timely delivery of engineering solutions while maintaining high standards of code quality and test coverage. Key responsibilities include: - Develop deep expertise in the products and features your squads are building - Work with Product Management to prioritize, scope, and plan business milestones - Build technical rollout plans aligned with business objectives - Foster a positive engineering culture aligned with Ibotta's values (Integrity, Boldness, Ownership, Teamwork, Transparency) - Collaborate with leadership to build group technical roadmaps - Ensure squads have the people and resources needed to succeed - Actively coach and mentor team members in their careers - Maintain sufficient technical depth to guide responsible AI adoption and evaluate team use of AI tools - Evolve team processes and delivery metrics to account for AI-driven productivity gains - Hold teams accountable to high standards of code quality, test coverage, and documentation - Perform product management responsibilities on engineering-driven squads - Be a reliable decision maker and maintain transparent communication on progress The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in Denver. Relocation assistance is available for candidates outside the area. Requirements: - 5+ years of engineering management experience with proven ability to build high-performing teams and lead complex technical initiatives - 7+ years of experience as a software engineer - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or related field - Experience building and supporting foundational platform services - Experience leading multiple teams within the same functional domain - Experience coaching engineers on responsible adoption of AI tools - Demonstrated knowledge of agile software development and management - Exposure to multiple programming languages and frameworks as engineer or manager - Ability to manage team members with diverse skill sets and technical expertise - Thrives in fast-paced environments - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
