Flutterwave is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join its engineering organization in Lagos. The company has built a trusted payment infrastructure enabling consumers and businesses across Africa and internationally to make and receive payments in a borderless manner.
In this role, you will drive the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects that strengthen Flutterwave's payment infrastructure. You will define project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables; develop detailed project plans with timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies; and track progress while identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
You will work closely with engineering teams, product managers, operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes. You will facilitate communication and collaboration among diverse teams, ensuring clarity and consistency in project goals. Your technical background will enable you to contribute meaningfully to technical discussions, review designs and documentation, and support engineering teams in adhering to best practices and quality standards.
You will also identify opportunities for process improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and team performance.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; minimum 5 years of experience in technical program management or related role, preferably in payments or fintech; strong technical background with hands-on software engineering experience; proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex engineering projects on time and within scope; excellent project management skills and proficiency with PM tools and methodologies; strong organizational and task management abilities; exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; strong problem-solving abilities; experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies (highly desirable); and relevant certifications such as PMP or Scrum Master (a plus).
