Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior EMC Design and Compliance Engineer to join the Electrical Engineering Design team. You will work at the intersection of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) design and compliance testing, collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and materials design teams, as well as corporate compliance groups and third-party laboratories.
In this role, you will define product, module, and interface-level EMC requirements and develop comprehensive pre-compliance and compliance test strategies aligned with military standards (MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464C). You will own and operate the local EMC lab, planning, executing, supervising, and troubleshooting EMC testing campaigns at both internal facilities and third-party labs. A key responsibility is evaluating test data, correlating emission failures with root causes (clock/data harmonics, etc.) using measurement and simulation data, and implementing effective design countermeasures.
You will communicate findings and design trade-offs clearly to internal stakeholders and external suppliers, negotiating design changes and schedules when EMC issues arise late in development. The role includes reviewing schematics, CAD designs, cable terminations, and PCB/flex layouts for EMC risk, with particular attention to signal integrity and impedance trade-offs. You will provide technical guidance on PCB component selection, floor planning, stack-ups, shielding, and grounding/bonding strategies for housings and fasteners.
Travel up to 20% is required, including visits to HQ and third-party labs to oversee test campaigns. You must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

**Requirements:**
- Strong knowledge of MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464 EMC test methods and requirements
- Experience with radiated and conducted emissions/immunity testing, from pre-compliance through full compliance campaigns
- Hands-on experience with EMC test equipment (EMI receivers, signal generators, power amplifiers, LISNs, current probes, antennas)
- Experience managing or maintaining an EMC test lab, including equipment calibration and test capability planning
- Working knowledge of PCB layout, stack-up, and flex circuit design as it relates to EMC and signal integrity
- Familiarity with shielding materials, conductive/non-conductive coatings, and grounding/bonding practices, including galvanic corrosion considerations
- Willingness to travel to third-party labs to supervise and support test campaigns
- Strong root-cause analysis skills and ability to communicate findings across engineering disciplines
- Plus: Experience with EM simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS, Altair FEKO, or CST Studio Suite
