Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual

The Manufacturing team is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) division. This role is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware, managing the entire manufacturing value chain including design for manufacturability, tool design and selection, process creation and optimization, vendor sourcing, quality planning, and work documentation. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will drive process improvements, ensure the highest quality of production, and support the development and implementation of new products. You will optimize manufacturing processes, reduce costs, increase efficiencies on existing technologies, and develop new products while scaling to full production. Key responsibilities include: - Own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain for Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T) of electro-mechanical assemblies - Contribute to operational excellence with a strong continuous improvement mindset and lead impactful Kaizen events - Partner with Product Quality Engineering to drive and support root cause corrective action (RCCA) burndowns - Collaborate with Design Engineering teams in early to late phases of development to provide design-for-manufacturability (DFx) guidance for smooth new product introduction (NPI) transitions - Develop process flows, breaking down large, complex assemblies into logical part flows and sub-processes - Write documentation required for manufacturing hardware at scale, including work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements - Work with contract manufacturers across various disciplines (PCBA fab, metallic manufacturing, assembly, etc.) to develop repeatable, sustained processes for quick-turn development and at-scale production - Work hands-on with technicians and other engineers to build prototype hardware - Contribute to end-customer hardware mechanical or electrical design, including interconnects, board fabrication, and inspection REQUIREMENTS: - Degree in a technical field preferred (engineering, math, or hard science) - 8+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware - Demonstrated ability to creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment - Personal experience physically manufacturing hardware via any means (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc.); work on personal or extracurricular projects is a plus - Prior experience working with JIRA, Siemens NX, Teamcenter (PLM), or Oracle (ERP) or equivalents - Experience with RF products that require system AI&T (assembly, integration, and test) - Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
