Syndio is the leading pay governance and compensation intelligence platform, helping enterprises make fair, defensible, and transparent pay decisions at scale. The company partners with many of the world's largest employers, analyzing pay data for over 10 million employees globally. You will join the Applied Pay Intelligence team as a Senior Domain Expert—a hands-on quantitative practitioner and senior individual contributor who leads a small squad. You are the person customers, product teams, and colleagues turn to when methodology must hold up under scrutiny. Key responsibilities: • Own an area of Syndio's methodology and asset library (e.g., comparator group logic, regression modeling, remediation methodology) and guide your squad's roadmap and technical bar. • Apply methodology to complex customer situations: unusual workforce structures, small-group modeling, contested comparator choices, novel regulatory tests. Bring the methods, explain tradeoffs, and defend the approach. • Build 1:many resources—customer briefings, methodology guides, model documentation, worked examples—that scale your expertise and reduce reliance on recurring meetings. • Partner directly with Product and AI teams to embed methodology into Decisions and Essentials. Translate quantitative rigor into product logic, review model outputs, and catch edge cases before customers encounter them. • Anchor high-stakes customer conversations: QBRs, regulatory inflection points, and board-adjacent discussions where getting the math and framing right changes outcomes. • Surface methodological gaps and customer patterns to Principal-level colleagues and Product, ensuring the platform's intelligence compounds over time. You will work fully remote from a home office in the United States. REQUIREMENTS: • 5+ years of hands-on quantitative work in labor economics, statistics, econometrics, industrial-organizational psychology, or a directly related field, applied to compensation, workforce, or pay equity questions. • Deep facility with regression modeling and comparator methodology. Ability to build a defensible pay equity model, explain what it does and does not tell you, and defend choices in front of non-technical audiences. • Demonstrated ability to translate quantitative rigor into language a CHRO, works council, or CSM can act on without losing substance. • Experience embedding methodology into a product, tool, or repeatable workflow that others execute—not just running analysis yourself. • Strong judgment on the difference between what data supports and what customers want it to say; comfort holding that line. • Track record of building content, documentation, or enablement materials that reduce reliance on your calendar. • Comfort thinking about how quantitative expertise translates into AI-mediated product capability. • Experience in HR tech, compensation, people analytics, or similarly data-intensive enterprise domains is a strong plus.
