Salary: USD 245,000 - 333,000 / annual
Spring Health is an AI-native mental health platform on a mission to eliminate barriers to mental health care. The company reaches over 170 million people worldwide through employers, health plans, and partners, delivering personalized support via self-guided tools, coaching, therapy, medication management, and specialty care.
You will lead the strategy, roadmap, and business impact of seven product teams spanning two pillars of Spring's R&D organization: Platform (foundational systems enabling member access and internal product configuration) and Intelligence (data and AI infrastructure enabling rapid, safe feature development across the company).
Key responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for Platform Intelligence, advancing a unified vision for how these systems enable Spring's competitive position
- Lead and develop a team of Product Managers across both pillars, setting standards for strategic thinking, solution definition, and cross-functional influence
- Drive unified prioritization across structurally different teams—core transactional systems requiring reliability and emerging AI/data capabilities requiring rapid iteration—ensuring both are resourced appropriately
- Identify and champion platform and infrastructure investments that unlock competitive differentiation, particularly leveraging Spring's distinctive data assets
- Build alignment across executive stakeholders (engineering, clinical, legal, product leadership) on complex priorities, translating technical constraints into business language
Success metrics include: platform reliability meeting service-level standards; measurable adoption of AI/ML and data platform capabilities across feature teams with reduced time-to-ship; feature teams using platform capabilities to deliver smarter, more personalized member experiences; flexible, composable platform architecture that absorbs changing requirements without breaking downstream systems; and cross-pod roadmap coherence with aligned stakeholders.
The role is hybrid based in San Francisco (44 Montgomery Street), with expectation to be in office 2–3 days per week. Candidates must be based in the San Francisco metro area or able to relocate independently within 90 days of start date. Occasional travel for team on-sites required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of product management experience, including 5+ years leading and developing PM managers or directors, with demonstrated success scaling product organizations across multiple teams or pods
- Proven track record building and scaling platform and infrastructure products, with heavy focus on data and AI/ML platforms
- Demonstrated ability to drive unified roadmap and prioritization across structurally different team types (core transactional/operational systems and emerging capabilities), balancing reliability-focused and innovation-focused investments
- Strong track record influencing and aligning executive stakeholders across functions (engineering, clinical, legal, compliance) on complex, ambiguous, competing priorities
- Exceptional executive communication: ability to dive deep with engineers on complex technical systems, then translate problems, tradeoffs, and solutions to non-technical audiences compellingly
