Salary: USD 178,848 - 234,738 / annual
Oscar Health is seeking a Senior Director of Network Contracting to lead provider network strategy and complex contract negotiations. This role reports to the Vice President of Network Management and is responsible for developing and implementing contracting strategies that align with company objectives around network development and cost management.
Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring the provider contracting team; developing and executing complex contracting agreements with hospitals, physician groups, and ancillary service providers; collaborating with the Network Monitoring & Performance team to identify network gaps and expand provider relationships; negotiating complex contracts that drive financial performance while ensuring access to quality care; ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; and serving as the primary point of contact between the organization and healthcare providers on contracting matters.
The role requires building and maintaining strong working relationships with providers to foster collaboration and network stability, resolving provider issues related to contract terms and reimbursement, and identifying out-of-network provider targets aligned with market strategy as needed.
Candidate must have 12+ years of healthcare provider contracting or network development experience, 7+ years negotiating complex contracts with hospitals and physician groups, and 5+ years of leadership or managerial experience in healthcare. Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems, reimbursement models, and managed care principles is a bonus.
